Combination Easel and Stair Step Card Tutorial with Einat

Hello dear crafty friends!

Einat here with a new project to inspire you!

Today I want to share with you a fun Combination Easel and Stair Step Card Tutorial.

Start with a 5 1/4" x 12" piece of double sided cardstock.
Score the cardstock at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 4 1/4", 6" and 9".

Fold the panel back and forth on the score lines so it looks like this.

Cut a 5 1/4" square panel out of the same cardstock and adhere to the front side of the back panel.

Cut three pieces of pattern paper to cover all front panels:
5" x 5", 5" x 1 1/2" and 5" x 1".

Add embellishments and your card is finished!

Today I'm sharing two steampunk tags I created. When you want to create a project with a steampunk theme it doesn't have to be with lots of fancy techniques. A few key ingredients and you can achieve the steampunk look in no time.

The three main things you need to add to your project are: brown colors, industrial embellishments like cogwheels and metal and a vintage or old looking photo or focal point.

Foamiran Flower Card with Einat

Hi dear crafty friends!

Einat here with a new project and a tutorial!
Today I created a card with Foamiran flowers that I want to share with you.

Here's a short step by step tutorial on how to create the flowers:

Start with cutting a few flowers from the Foamiran. I cut two different sizes from the same die.

Then heat the Foamiran flower with your heat tool until it curls. You can crumple it with your hands to add even more texture to the petals.

Open the flowers and stack them together. Join them with a few stamen, a brad or even a large bead.

Interactive Mini Album with Einat

Hi dear crafty friends!

Einat here with a new project to inspire you.

Today I want to share with you a mini album I created. I used the accordion mini album from the store and covered it with papers.

However, instead of just covering the pages I added an interactive mechanism on each of the pages to make it more interesting and to add more room for photos.

Creating the mechanisms is easy! All you need is to add pockets or flaps by folding the paper in any direction you want.

Exploding Box with Einat

Hi dear crafty friends!

Einat here with a new and fun project to inspire you!

Today I'm sharing an exploding box with a twist. It's not a regular exploding box with space for photos. On each of the box walls I added an interactive mechanism to allow room for more photos and make things a little more interesting!

To create this project I used the beautiful Craft Clock Morning Dreams paper collection. I really love the soft colors of teal, green and yellow. I also added chipboard and flowers to embellish the lid of the box.

Cards Set Box with Einat

Hi dear crafty friends!

Today I want to share with you a new cards set box I created with Craft & You papers. This is a great project to create as a gift or as a stash of cards made in advance for any occasion you might need.

I also used some chipboard and flowers to embellish the cards and the top of the box. To add a little drama I used 13@rts black butterflies and words stickers. They were perfect for this project.

You can leave the cards empty without any sentiments and only add them when you need to use the card. This way you'll always match the sentiment to the occasion.

Steampunk Altered Box with Einat Kessler

Hi dear crafty friends!

Einat here with a new project to inspire you. Now that the holidays are over I thought I'd take a break from the Christmas and winter theme projects and do something a little different.
I love steampunk! That industrial look with the cogwheels and mechanical parts is just magical to me. Today I want to inspire you with an altered box created in a steampunk style.

Steampunk is easy to create. You just need to use cogwheels, metal embellishments like clock parts or metal flowers and cover everything with metallic acrylic paints, rust pastes or wax. This look can fit on boxes, canvases, scrapbooking layouts and cards.
