Mixed Media tag ...'FLY'
Hello everyone and Happy Sunday! My DT project for today is a Mixed Media Tag...they are fun to make and it could be a simple and fairly fast gift for any occasion.
Let's begin...As a base I have used a CHIPBOARD TAG, covered with white gesso, then cut few strips from the CHERRY BLOSSOM 6x6 paper set and glued in the middle...a light wash of white gesso, then added some interest with GRILLE #3 STAMP and modeling paste with ZIGZAG Small STENCIL...I have used yellow and black inks, both sprays and ink pads to add colour, then lighten up a bit with white gesso. Stamped some more images with black ink, then glued other small strips of paper, a stamped butterfly and fussy cut a flower from ALWAYS TOGETHER 12x12 paper set.
Spattered with inks, glued some black thread and a word sticker.
Here's the supplies used from SCRAP & CRAFT STORE:
- CHIPBOARD TAG
- STUDIO 75 ZIGZAG SMALL STENCIL
- STUDIO 75 CHERRY BLOSSOM 6X6 PAPER SET
- CRAFT O' CLOCK ALWAYS TOGETHER 12X12 PAPER SET
- AGATERIA.PL STAMP 'GRILLE #3'
- BAMBINO GLUE GR.45 TUBE
Hope you enjoyed this project and got inspired...thanks for stopping by and...see you next time!
Kisses&Hugs!
Simo.

"Fly" Mixed Media Card with Tracey
Hello dear Scrap & Craft friends!
It's Tracey back with a new project for you. The Craft O'Clock ~ Morning Dreams II paper collection has such gorgeous colors and fabulous images that can be fussy cut to embellish your projects. I've also used chipboard, stamps, organza trim from the Scrap and Craft Store.

Tips and Techniques
I selected delicate flowers to go with the soft colors on the gorgeous background paper and fussy cut flowers, then tucked in a single blossom from the Organza Rose Trim. I just adore this versatile trim that can be used in a strip or cut apart for individual flowers.
I treasure texture, so used Bambino Glue to adhere metal objects, Prills, diecut leafy flourishes, chunky glass glitter, microbeads, mica flakes, and rhinestones around the cluster and across the page. Do you have a stash of found items like I do? It's so lovely to tuck in an odd found item or two into mixed media projects for a unique touch. I brushed them with metallic paint and art wax to fit in.
These fabulous Scrapiniec Steampunk Flying Hearts Chipboard Wings are heat embossed in pale gold, a perfect accent to the soft teal and pinks.
The background is stenciled with crackle paste, then spritzed with teal and white color mist. Once dry, white ink is spattered across for soft visual texture.

I combined the Agateria Grill 3 Stamp with a flourish stamp from my stash to edge the top and bottom of the card. I thought this sentiment was just perfect to go with the chipboard wings in the cluster.

Beautiful Marilyn- Craft o'clock "Celebrate Today" layout by Lynne
Hello there! I love the soft greens and greys in this lovely paper line and I knew it would look perfect with this photo of Marilyn Monroe that I've been wanting to use on a page for a while. I love vintage movies and stars, and every so often I create a layout featuring one.
I stenciled with texture paste and misted here and there, and I couldn't resist making a few more foamiran flowers for added texture.
The leaf sprays were diecut then rubbed onto a green inkpad. The beautiful flowers in the paper pack are perfect for fussy cutting and layering. I randomly punched along the edge with a notebook punch for a little added interest, and added the looped pearl string, which I got at the dollar store.
I hope you enjoyed seeing my page; if you've ever done a celebrity layout, I'd love to see it on our Scrap & Craft Inspiration page! Wishing you a wonderful and creative week!

"Dream of Being More" featuring Craft O'Clock Morning Dreams II with Tracey
Hello dear Scrap & Craft friends!
It's Tracey here with a new project for you. I created a two in one piece. It's an oversized mixed media graduation card, reinforced with an extra layer of 110lb cardstock so it can be placed on an easel to brighten up a mantel or desk. Rather than using a congratulations or graduation sentiment on the front, I stamped this inspirational sentiment that is perfect for a home decor piece as well as an encouragement to the graduate.
Tips and Techniques
The sweet floral cluster includes Magnolia Flowers, and Pale Pink Mulberry Roses from the Scrap & Craft Store. The gorgeous background paper is from the Craft O'Clock ~ Morning Dreams II Paper Collection. I also fussy cut flower images from the collection to layer under the cluster. The background and borders are stamped with Grille and Grille 3 Stamps from the store. I added a touch of teal pastels around the edges as well.
Bambino Glue dries clear and is just perfect for adhering texture with Prills and microbeads along with sequins, half pearls, and flakes of teal mica scattered onto the background.
From this angle you can see Pearl Stamens from the store that I tucked in under the rosebuds. I just adore the chipboard from Scrapiniec's Doily Lace Corner Set that I heat embossed in teal, then topped with another layer of blue glittered embossing powder.
I collect odds and ends to use in my paper crafting from a variety of different sources. The decorative crystal and pearl stick pin is for wedding decor. I also tucked in a couple seashells I found at the shore on one of our vacations as well as a few flowers from my stash. A while back I crocheted some sweet little flowers and came across them recently. I couldn't resist adding one at the edge of the paper flowers.
The sentiment is stamped with permanent black ink onto watercolor paper. Once dry, I spritzed with water and brushed with watercolor paint, then tore around the words to expose the creamy white paper edges. Foam squares are used to raise up the sentiment so it sits nicely over the twine wrapped around the card.
I used light molding paste with the Studio75 Small Brick Stencil to add
texture and when dry spritzed with color mist, then spattered with white
ink.
I got artsy with these sweet summery dragonflies. They're stamped onto watercolor paper, then colored with blue and teal watercolors. It was a bit of extra work to fussy cut them, but well worth the effort! I wanted something shimmery, so added teal seed beads to the long slender bodies with Bambino Glue.

Creativity takes Courage by Simona
Hello everyone and happy
Sunday...Simona's here for another tutorial...You may not know it but
I LOVE Tags...in every size they might be...if I could, I would only
create my projects on Tags...they are versatile, you could use them
as bookmarks, or make mini Albums out of them...or a Home decor, like
today's project, as my Tag is about 26 cm x 15,5 cm – that is about
10 ¼” x 6” .
I have used the beautiful 12x12 paper
set 'Always together' by Craft o'Clock...first I have primed my paper
using Clear Gesso, then a wash of White Gesso...Cut the upper
corners to get the look of a 'proper tag' and punched a hole in the
middle.
I have used these little 'color proof'
squares as a guide to choose my colours palette...
I have added watered inks with a brush,
drying between each layer, than added splashes of colours and a lot
of stamping to build my background. Also added touches of heavy white
gesso through a stencil and darkened the edges with black ink.
Using coloured pencils I enhanced the
shadows on the flowers, then added touched of light with a white
pen. Used die cuts, cheesecloth, black thread and straws made with
book pages to build my composition, adding also some fussy cut
flowers always from the same set.
Glued everything down, then added splashes of white and black ink, green ribbon
and a chipboard quote as final touches.
Here you can see more details...
Here's the supplies used, from the
SCRAP & CRAFT Store:
As always I hope you enjoyed the
project and thank you so much for stopping by...see you next time!
Kisses&Hugs!

Shadow Box Card...
Hello everyone! Simona's here to show
you my latest project for Scrap & Craft DT.
For this card I have used one of my
favourite collections by Craft O' Clock, 'Morning Dreams
II'... pastel colours and wood patterns...I love it!
I thought that these double-sided
papers were perfect to create a Shadow Box..then went the extra
lenght and turned into a Shadow Box card.
Let's start with the box...
Use a sheet 12 x 12 inches, score at 1 – 1 ½ – 2 ½ – 3 inches, do this on all 4 sides. Then only on the top and the bottom sides score at 4 inches and 8 inches ONLY down to the 2nd score line...(see pic below for reference)
Then trace with a pencil the 'cutting' lines...please see pic below, do the same on the four corners and cut them out.
Crease the scored lines then attach double sided tape...start to shape the box glueing the longer sides first, and there you have it...your little Shadow box.
For the inside I have fussy cut some lovely flowers from the collection...to achieve a dimensional look I have used foam tape on the back, then added few die cut leaves. Glued some ribbon, half pearls and a sentiment stamped on leftovers .
For the card cut a piece of heavy cardstock to 6 ½
x 13 ½ inches and score at 7 inches then 7 ½ .
In order to keep it shut I decided to make a magnetic closure...for this cut a strip from the same cardstock 3 ½
x 1 ¼ inches, score at 1 ½ and 2 inches now glue a very thin magnet on the inside of the strip, pick up the second magnet and find the proper place to attach it to the front of the card, where it will be covered by the decoration.
I have decorated the front of the card
quite simply, using a piece of the patterned paper cut to 6 ¼ x 6 ¼ . Used leftovers and white
cardstock to cut labels for the sentiment, added some satin ribbon and half pearls...Finally it's time for secure the Shadow Box on the inside, with double-sided tape.
A special card for a special someone...

Shabby Mixed Media Mother's Day Card with Tracey
Hello dear Scrap & Craft friends!
It's Tracey back to share a new project with you today. We are so blessed with a beautiful daughter-in-law who is an amazing mom to our little granddaughter, Avery. I created this sweet Mother's Day card for her featuring the Craft O'Clock Always Together Collection paired with Mulberry Magnolia Flowers and a Pink Cherry Blossom from the Scrap & Craft store.
Tips and Techniques
I simply adore how the Craft O'Clock collections include such gorgeous images on the back of the package label to use on your projects. I fussy cut a couple of these floral images to tuck in behind the dimensional flowers.
The focal flowers include Magnolia Flowers and Pink Cherry Blossom from the store. They are dry brushed with white gesso for a shabby mixed media feel.
I've also tucked in metal wings, resin flowers, ribbon leaves, die cuts, jewelry pieces, sequins, hand crocheted flower, art pebbles tin hearts, and art stones from my stash. When creating mixed media pieces, you can really combine about anything you might have laying around. I've colored the wings, resin flowers, jewelry piece, and art stones with color mist and art wax.
When creating a cluster, it helps to start with the larger pieces in the center, then build
out with smaller elements. Here, I built a layer of torn lace down from the center of the
cluster and added dimensional items over top.
Here's a close-up to see more of the mixed media background. I added stenciling, a bit of color, and white spatter with drawing ink. The edges are distressed to add to the shabby feel of the card.
Bambino Glue from the store is used to adhere the art stones and sequins.
